Updates and help for those studying politics

Caterham Politics

As an examiner and teacher of politics, one of my continuing frustrations was the lack of relevant details that students include in their essays.

My initial theory was that students were not reading around or engaging in current affiars and relying on textbook examples that were soon out of date.

However, talking to some of my students (which is always useful) I realised that they were payng attention and working hard at extending their knowledge, but they were not sure what was relevant or how to use it.

That provided the inspiration for starting this website; to select information that would be useful to those studying A Level politics. The intention is that all updates will be writen with a view to how they relate to the A level course and to show how they could be used in addressing particular topics, to allow anyone who uses this site to boost their understadning and results.

As time goes on and my experience in running the site grows, help and advice on how to tackle exam style questions will be given, as well as tips for essay techniques and the oppotutnites to ask questions

I hope you find it useful and meets the needs of any students of politics.
